Over ons

Bens NV, located at Nijverheidsstraat 24, 2260 Oevel-Westerlo, is a renowned meat and pig company specializing in the processing of pork and by-products. Since its founding in 1961 (under company number BE 0404.141.788), Bens has been active in the trade, processing, and export of meat products. With a production and processing site spanning over 68,393 m² and a built-up area of 11,208 m², Bens is one of the leading players in the Belgian meat industry. Our activities include frozen storage, cutting and deboning, and the processing of by-products (organ meat, fat, skin, and bones).

We export to markets worldwide, including Australia, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, and many European countries. Bens holds certifications such as Certus, FEBEV+, BRC, and IFS, demonstrating our commitment to food safety and quality standards. With a workforce ranging from 120 to 160 employees and an operational capacity of, for example, 400 tons of becomming or cutting per shift, we are equipped to meet high demand. Bens operates using an integrated approach, monitoring traceability, animal welfare, hygiene, and quality at every stage.

The site is strategically located in an industrial zone between a canal and a highway, offering logistical advantages. Recent investments in automation included a 33-meter-long automated crate washing line for cleaning and labeling crates, improving water consumption and operational efficiency. Our customers range from butchers, wholesalers, retailers, and food processing industries, both domestically and internationally. Thanks to vertical integration within the pork supply chain, we can guarantee the quality and safety of our products from farm to plate.
